1. Coaching our first $100M+ proposal launching an AI & Science Breakthrough š¤
Carinci Consulting served as proposal coach on a partner team supporting a landmark initiative spearheaded by a collaborative of AI experts across the United States.
Supported by a publicāprivate funding partnership, the project is building fully open AI models to transform how U.S. scientists leverage AI for discovery. Weāre honored to have helped shape a proposal that supports U.S. leadership in open, AI-enabled science and innovation.

2. Expanding Economic Mobility Pathways šš¼
Supported projects that:
Provide targeted academic, personal, financial, and social supports for 140 low-income, first-generation, and/or students with disabilities to boost persistence, retention, and graduation.
Offer annual scholarships for 82 high-achieving, low-income STEM students (including community college transfers) to cover most unmet financial needāpreparing future scientists, engineers, and data professionals in high-demand fields.
Equip 45 low-income urban adults with integrated workforce development and financial literacy programming to increase stability and long-term opportunity.
3. Accelerating Research Potential in Underserved Regions & Institutions š¬š
Provided feedback on planning for a resilient energy technology ecosystem across two states.
Helped secure funding to:
Strengthen marine research infrastructure serving 400+ students from nine universities, increasing competitiveness for future grants and building Kā12 partnerships.
Advance careers at primarily undergraduate institutions:
For a pre-tenure faculty to develop a research program investigating the effects of native environment and external stressors on diatom light harvesting.
For a mid-career faculty to provide protected time to rebuild her research program in the field of parasite taxonomy and systematics.
Lead testing in childcare drinking water to protect young childrenās health.
Youth programs that promote positive social behaviors, increase community engagement, and reduce risk of violence.
6. Expanding High-Quality Out-of-School Time Learning šš
Secured contributing resources to:
Provide free, full-day summer programming for ~1,600 urban youth, mitigating summer learning loss.
Sustain low-cost after-school programs offering certified teacher instruction and healthy meals for underserved Kā8 students.
7. Giving Back as Federal Peer Reviewers š
Carinci Consulting served as a peer reviewer for federal programs focused on sustaining, replicating, and scaling innovative, evidence-based educational practicesābringing back fresh insights to strengthen client proposals.
8. Evaluating Capacity-Building for Future Science Educators š
Evaluated a capacity-building project designed to develop a secondary science licensure program, helping address the national need for high-quality secondary science teachers.
